How can the U.S. government adapt to Trump's eventual departure from the White House? @StephenWalt suggests: • Reexamining the definition of power politics • Concentrating on threats to cybersecurity • Rebuilding the country's foreign policy capacitieshttps://buff.ly/2PSXpHw

Good article. But the issue is that Trump if anything has blown the cover off the long standing hypocrisy in US Foreign Policy btwn stated and actual goals. Eg Bill Clinton extolled here (L) whose NATO expansion was criticized by those like Kennan (R) 1/https://www.nytimes.com/1998/05/02/opinion/foreign-affairs-now-a-word-from-x.html …pic.twitter.com/BIyq7l98sn

The US whether by design or accident or a mix, has created an Empire where every POTUS’ job - even those like Obama - has been to sustain if not expand it (whether by brute force or behind-the-scenes arm twisting as Obama did that Trump does in the open)2/https://youtu.be/cVlgtcVg034

In the ME the article talking abt Trump giving a “free hand to Israel expansionism” diminishes extent of his administration’s alignment w Netanyahu, with its policies towards Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran pretty much what Bibi would want if Trump was part of his cabinet. 3/pic.twitter.com/tjSdFGN98R

The Trump era is showcasing in an harsh way the US’s outsize economic, financial, military, technological, cyber, narrative-shaping domination over the rest of the planet and how its domestic infighting can impinge capriciously on the world. That genie can’t easily be put back 4/

Even assuming no major wars between the US and Russia or China during the Trump era, the world post-Trump would be very different not just because of the reminders of the dangers of one central virtually uncheckable Empire, but the continued rise of China, India and others. 5/

Trump was elected to shake up the bureaucracy, Reset Foreign Policy & Trade. It may be a Bad guy Good guy routine to rebuild, but can it be the same again. Global Realities were changing rapidly and Trump has accelerated the Reset process in which the US may find its place.

America would definitely be destroyed with the departure of president Trump. That’s what they the globalist are planning. No democratic elections just more of the criminal banana republic of the Clintons, Bush and treasonous Obama. Very sad!

One of the things I learned in/about politics, and that works exclusively in politics (have no idea why) is, it can always be worse if the candidate from the same party. But with the shift of interest group US foreign policy starts from zero, each time (after/due campaign’s dirt)
