I work in a dying industry and need to get out. But I don't qualify for financial aid until I pay thousands of dollars in back tuition, from when I had to drop out of school. And even then the prospect of student loans makes everything seem hopeless.

The prospect of working in the fossil fuel industry w/ boom or bust cycles over and over again as our climate crisis worsens and I get older is depreessing. Without that income I can't take care of mental health. Hard to feel like there's a future under capitalism.
