Yup! I've seen it done. You can basically just use the disk head like a cassette tape head, and stream analog audio to/from it.

There's also the Video Floppy format, which was an analog floppy disk format storing NTSC/PAL frames. It stored one per track, and was used for an early digital camera standard.

Even though it's "video" frames, it's actually a still photo format. It just encodes them as video as that was the only way to encode them in a portable device in the 80s.
