and to clarify what I'm doing here: This is a replacement display AND a replacement microcontroller. I'm not using any of the original tester other than the shell.

I simply love how committed are to this project. The pregnancy test reborn! Though now I think of it, has no one made a “smart” pregnancy tester yet. By smart I think The world means Wi-Fi + webapp + dubious privacy

So, uh...can we design a cheap reader box that uses strip tests, a photodiode, a couple LEDs, and a teensy for ladies in the maker community who would be interested in utilizing said device? Just asking for ya know...the ladies. Or is that out of scope?
it's out of scope for what I can do with it, but I've heard there are some other people already working on open source versions.
