    Happy ! Enjoyed unique dim sum at the Veggie Dim Sum Festival @ Green Menu in Alhambra. It was and delicious! Items included BBQ buns, seafood-flavored congee with topping of roasted peanuts, cilantro & veggie shrimp, shumai with mushrooms.

    We loved this cake made by our friend Cary Huynh! It’s a Swiss roll made of lemon chiffon cake, taro pandan cream & berries. He made the filling by cooking taro, mashing it with sugar, adding butter, & mixing it with pandan flavored pastry cream.

    Sad to report that Frieda Rapoport Caplan of passed away today. Frieda was inspiring and kind, & a model woman entrepreneur. We appreciate all she did to teach Americans about produce. She introduced at least 200 fruits & vegetables to the U.S. Photo July 2015

    My minestrone soup was delicious thanks to from ! I enhanced the soup with baby zucchini, slim green beans, pee wee , whole grain pasta, beans & extra virgin olive oil.Fresh basil & the new hot sauce were the perfect finishing touches!

    This Peruvian ceviche called tiradito was fabulous! It was made of yellowtail with a sauce of vegetables, Peruvian peppers & lime juice, known as leche de tigre, or "tiger's milk"! We tasted it at a demonstration by Chef
