It works. Use it. You'll become a better person and may just learn how to control your symptoms. Now excuse me, I’m going to go meditate. Namaste 🙏

If I had a choice of implanting an electrode in my brain to manage my symptoms or using proven techniques of mindfulness, meditation, self-talk, introspection, insight, talk therapy, etc., I would choose the latter.

Not a popular opinion, but psychology provides the least invasive ways of helping your brain. It doesn’t mean you are crazy or making up your symptoms.

Tired of Twitter wars, so I’m taking a vacation from Twitterland today. If you have , do you really want to spend your energy on the neuro/psych artificial dichotomy or do you want to get better?

I have no idea. I do know that feeling states can arise again from things we have no memory of. What is the purpose of doubting another person’s story? Is it to feel superior? Be a better person. Always be kind.

Last week I met a man, blind from birth, who shared with me that his fraternal twin sister died in utero. His pain was palpable. I listened, acknowledged his pain, and offered my condolences. Is it possible to remember something that happened pre-birth?

After feeling the pain of a disrespectful post about from an ER doc who should know better, I want to put this out there. If you've been treated badly for having symptoms that have terrified you, you are not alone. All patients deserve respect.

awareness is crucial to avoid iatrogenic harm. High time doctors understand and offer positive diagnosis. The onus is on doctors and "Do No Harm" must come first. Harmful treatment is worse than no treatment!
