Agree, and have little/no fear for my kids, yours, or those who I cherish in my collective tribe. I also grew up around a lot of dirt poor rednecks, and my fair share of post-gentrified urban families. The market forced solution will WORK, but it may also be a great filtering.

I know and love a lot of people who would be totally incompetent to raise children without government mandated support/education. I'm not saying this as a favor of gov subs, just a black pill reality check on how adrift much of the consumer/citizen base is.

They wont stop having kids, and the market encourages this cuz consumer economy. Unstoppable force meets unmovable object. Singular ideological solutions work, but are a mass filter of sorts. I don't buy the Fermi paradox btw https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Filter#The_Great_Filter …

It pains me to no end to say this. They’ll stop having children when they don’t have enough food to feed their 8th child and have to start making Sophie’s Choice about which of those children eat and which don’t. This is what happens in a world without safety nets.

I'd like to be bullish on this, but from what I understand and can base on historical models, the human reproduction matrix doesn't work out like this, because it takes a few generations for this surprise to trickle from the smart to poor.

The only hard pivot solution I see is a non invasive, highly reactionary & effectively reversible procedure to limit female pregnancy or male sperm potency. I'd be more open to those ideas if GOV wasn't such a bought and sold game for lobbyists.

Even if your intentions/process was pure, can you imagine campaigning on mandatory male sperm restrictions? Or vice versa with Ovaries although the pro life movement has already paved some cultural roadways for former.

They will try and it will work on the sheep. But by then most of the wealth and the brains will have left totalitarian jurisdictions for more freedom loving ones, or completely started their own sovereign enclaves.

Our tribe will be fine. Are we comfortable leaving millions of mindless idiotic poors to fend for themselves in a collapsing system? If we are building to a future global computation dynamic, can we tolerate those loses? And to what extent? Personally, I'd like to capture
