We often face a scenario wherein we openly and honestly explain our work and people disregard it due to inadequate basis paradigm. They then create conjecture and popularize that conjecture. It will likely improve after more publications, we recently were issued our first patent.

We learned "The Hard Way" that when working with novelty, if you don't publish and patent, someone can literally steal your work, patent it, and lock you out of your own work via: "Court Costs of Enforcement". "Sure you'll win the case, but can you afford the legal fees?"
