I rejected getting corrective glasses for a few years later than I should have. I spent a lot of time playing with "squinting" when I was young. The idea of changing my visual/perceptive lense with varying muscle tension was almost too much for my 12 yr old self to contain.

Bending objects into clarified observation, measuring the information slippage on the peripherals, this was a Genesis block of sorts. Manipulating vision to modulate perceptual lenses/structures was foundational in the curiosity that would later lead me to theorycrafting
