@desantis have had some sort of disagreement but appear closely aligned. In an asymptote fashion? Is the 'code' expressed here sub-optimal language? Is this the problem to be straightened out? -
I'd say the code is more the ideal language and protocols, and our culture may not be sufficiently optimized to straighten/debug itself out.
