Do you guys really debate that there was a hard fork in May?

We do not debate that there was a hard fork in May. We agree that there was a hard fork in May.

Did
@deadalnix not unilaterally decide on a difficult adjustment algorithm change, despite Github commenters' concerns and pleas for a transparent / open decision making process?2 replies 0 retweets 9 likes -

The only process that matters is the one that maximizes the value of BCH and if you're not happy with the current process you should come up with an argument as to how you can make BCH more valuable which people would be willing to bet BCH on as being true.

This sounds like a shitcoin argument that you used to warn people against.

I think being decentralized would make BCH more valuable and viable... Your not addressing the fact of a unilateral decision by the "lead" developer, despite reluctance from other parts of the community, confirms the above-mentioned fact.

An alternative hypothesis is that someone who was genuinely concerned would actually be relating his concern to the value of BCH in some kind of definite way and if he wasn't he's just a concern troll to whom I would have no reason to respond.

A central authority / gatekeeper is certainly a valid consider, & in "a definite way", is antithetical to the ideal of decentralization. Loftily shifting the discussion to meta hypotheticals & away from the provided example shows there's not much of a real defense to my comment.

Let us suppose for the sake of argument that you do not own any BCH. Is there any reason for me to talk to you under those circumstances, regardless of whether either of us is bothering to try to win an argument?

It's up to you. I'm of the opinion it's rational to maintain your ownership of the UXTO set across all forks. And that ultimately means bitcoin = BTC + SUM(all forks). Forks make trees as
