    All the articles critical of ‘Anglo-Saxon’ that don’t cite POC are merely confirming that people are more okay with updating racist terminology when the impetus isn’t coming overtly from POC. It’s all more acceptable when we get to be the white protagonist do-gooders

        I get that putting a white face on an issue of racism can make it seem more palatable. But if we’re winning people over using whiteness we’re just adding to the problem.

        TL:DR any critical discussion of ‘Anglo-Saxon’ that misses the crucial voice of @ISASaxonists as well as other POC is just perpetuating the racism you’re trying to highlight and critique.

        Ok, but I seriously don’t understand what the issue people have with the term Anglo-Saxon is? I mean the majority of the Germanic peoples in Britain were Angles or Saxons.
