Here we are, after technical advice from many colleagues and more than 2 years of work - led by Alice Servonnet, new findings on how increased neural activity in the BLA influences behaviour when animals face reward cues

I love these things. Props to Iowa and Korea as the only (non-institute) locations on the list, and to the cerebellum as the only brain region. Dopamine isn't doing too bad, falling just behind "social", which I am assuming are social events and not social neuroscience...

NPP mourns the sudden loss of Ron Duman. Ron’s science was transformational to the field, but many will remember him for his kindness and generosity. We share the grief of his family, friends, and colleagues.

Excited to announce StressNeurobio 2020's Inaugural Mary Dallman Honorary Keynote Address to be given by Dr Seema Bhatnagar from Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. As a trainee of Dallman's she has emerged as a leader defining neural circuits regulating adaptation to stress!

Lots of Qs 🤔about figures in specific aims... a new validation by eRA generates a warning if you use a figure in the specific aims. The warning is meant to prevent figs in abstracts. You can use a fig in SA and DRR won't withdraw your application. Thanks for the Qs!

Also, is a recipient of an F99/K00 Award (that funds up to 4 years of postdoctoral work!) and will be finishing up her dissertation in early fall. If you are a PI, a great post-doc mentor, and conduct research related to stress-reward interactions, pay her a visit!

People evaluating tenure packages for basic scientists need to know this. There often seems to be a disconnect when people from different fields evaluate one another.
