If there is an Election Day request, the voter must affirm that an emergency exists that keeps that voter from being able to vote at his or her assigned polling place. There is no definition of "emergency" is it relates to this requirement so it's a case to case basis. 3/5

REMINDERS:
The voted ballot must be received by the Supervisor of Election's office no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day.
State law imposes no limits on the number of ballots that a person may return to the SOE.
Counties may have restrictions so check with your SOE!
