I would also add the type of generals they are. They fight to protect, not to control. They fight for their ideals, not personal power over other people, but the power of the self. That's what makes their imagery empowering and not pro-violence.

I love this because it shows the changes on the representation of women and how we are seen. I think before, women were seen or expected to be damsels in distress and now, in a way it represents independence, strength and a capability to be in a position of leadership 🙃

Do you think it says something about our time that these role models have to be militarized fighters?

What I like about these examples is these aren’t armies that exist for conquering and colonization. Two of them specifically hide their country and exist solely to protect, not attack. I like those aspects, but definitely not the need for an army, if that makes sense.
