Many evangelicals (not just white ones) are sacrificing everything cause they firmly believe the end of days is at hand. "Rapture right around the corner, so why protect the environment." kind of thinking. Find these folks on Twitter by the three "

No because there is nothing that says demographics is destiny. They can be the minority but still have complete control over society, there is nothing unique about the American system that prevents this from happening, as we are already seeing the beginnings of it.

No. They're sacrificing the world in search of confirmation of their ancient fairy tales.

I still have no idea who the "they" are. The term "evangelical" is not defined in this article. And the article starts without mentioning more evangelical opposition to Trump than any GOP nominee since at least the 1970s.
-
The article's also about a year old. Low energy. Sad.
-
I think loud mouth high profile baptists (SBC and megachurches types) are who get called "evangelicals" in the media. Ignored are evangelicals in denominations (Lutheran, Methodist, Presby, etc). Also missing is much analysis beyond shallow numbers. The "whys".
-
Do you approve of Trump? Approve of what? His complete vacuum of morals? No. The fact that he isn't Hillary Clinton? Yes. The fact he nominated Gorsuch? Yes. His tweeting? No. Etc.
-
Falwell says Trump can't lose his support. Most evangelicals would find this comment absurdist. But most people who are religiously evangelical aren't that mesmorised by politics. But it is all secularists have.
-
"But it is all secularists have." That's a good point. Much of the media uses "Evangelicals" as a "ew, gross, we must defeats them"-type bogeyman. Similar to how the right uses "socialists."
-
Many labels media use today are so non nuanced as to have little meaning save as some form of nonconformity. As in, I would hate to be a poor evangelical or a deluded socialist. Etc. The media doesn't say that but groups use negative definitions a great deal.

Interesting consistency in the Mormon numbers (2% in all age groups). Is that faith equally appealing to all ages?

Do you have the a similar poll from, say the 1980’s? How do the percentages of young people’s religious identification then correspond to the middle aged people’s identity now?
