Someone just emailed me with some questions about Golfer's Elbow. They have had 14 cortisone shots. Saw 3 doctors. None of them advised strengthening or referred to a physical therapist. πŸ™

Neck Mobility πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ Cervical spine (neck) rotation is important for golfers. If it’s limited, you might also struggle with thoracic spine (torso) rotation. 10-20 reps of this each way in your daily mobility routine πŸ‘Œ

My caddie, Joe Greiner, recently told me I had to stop saying β€œI suck.” All golfers say it: β€œThat sucks, this sucks, you suck.” But I decided to not do it anymore. If you tell yourself you suck all the time, eventually you’re going to think you really do suck. - Max Homa 2019

*I know this camera angle is kinda trash* Happy with the progressions I’m making. Up 8lbs overall (I still look like skelator) never really touched 115-118 in years past, unless it was violent and ugly. I feel like I could game this swing. @Fit_For_Golf

You can't maximize strength and speed at the same time. Yes, we want to be strong, but to see your fastest speeds, you will need to strip down the strength work, and really prioritise the speed work. Keep the weight up, drop the volume WAY down.

73 years youngπŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ This is Dan Cooper, coached by Many of you will be familiar with . This is his dad. Looks like they share a similar work ethic!! So impressed by this movement. Club head speed with 6 iron is in the 85-89mph range, at 73!

Ask any Elite level player how many deliberate hours they’ve dedicated to mastering their craft…the answer is well over 10,000. In many cases 2-3x. Sorry Malcolm Gladwell & K. Anders Ericsson. If you want more ROI for your time invested? Here’s 5️⃣ Thoughts on how…

Another great thread. But to be fair to Anders Ericsson he did not advocate or suggest a specific number of hours. He emphasized the quality of practice and recognized variability in the # of hours to expert performance. Unfortunately, Gladwell misinterpreted Anders’ work.

Plateau buster πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈπŸš€ β€’Extra day off β€’Caffeine β€’DMX Maybe my best speed session ever. Strangely enough, it didn’t start well, but gradually got into it and then it started going really well. Hit 124 about 8 times, and 125 twice. ⬆️max to ⬆️cruising on course speed.

5 Minute Home WorkoutπŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ A) Split Stance Hip Hinge B) Kneeling Dumbbell Rotation β€’Do 8 reps on each side on each exercise β€’Repeat for 3 to 4 sets β€’Done Use very short workouts to get started. All that matters is building the habit. The rest will take care of itself.

Plateaued in your speed training? Experiment with an extra day of rest before your next few sessions and see how they go. This is especially worth trying if you also strength train. Speed is VERY sensitive to fatigue, so if you have some present, speed will be masked.

Pebble Beach leader Kurt Kitayama is one of my favorite players to follow. He's 5-foot-7 but 12th on TOUR in ball speed. He's missed more than half the cuts in his 46 career TOUR starts, but all 4 of his top-10s are top-3s. His 3 runners-up are to Rahm, Rory and Xander.
