    The USGS National Map imagery servers occasionally timeout, and frankly, the fire perimeters look less cluttered without them, so maps will exclude imagery for now.

    Reminder: Regardless of the map, it is not a reason not to evacuate when ordered. Satellite fire detections are not only many hours old, they also miss certain fires and have resolutions of 100s of meters to multiple miles 🔥
