I’ll add that protestors arrested were arrested via raids, one in a Home Depot, one while driving her car, & another had SWAT sent to their home. This is reminiscent of tactics used in Portland, NYC with unmarked vehicles & no warrants. Protestors demand a drop of all charges.

I think off-site raids are actually a better way to do arrests than in the midst of a riot - safer for all involved! SWAT may have been a bit excessive, but it's not at all unusual for arrests/warrants these days.

What is it that you think I missed?... That (alleged) rioters were arrested at a different time/place than the riots themselves? Again, I think that's usually A GOOD THING, as it tends to be safer for all involved.

They are not rioters, they are protestors. They led protests. Important distinction

Protesting is not illegal. Rioting is. I'm pretty sure they've been charged with crimes related to rioting. They may or may not be guilty (up to the court to make that judgment), but I'm guessing the cops had probable cause to arrest them on rioting charges.

You’re wrong actually. They were not rioting but even the word protest doesn’t mean you sing Kumbaya or whatever you need it to mean to rationalize your narrative. It means to stand against the system. And literally chanting is not rioting. So no protesting is now often illegal.

Due your defense of Tracey and his Andy Ngo behavior. Guess who all went to Portland & didn’t get attacked? We live-streamed the whole thing. Respected people who didn’t want to be on camera (bc they’re targeted). Do I think it’s ok he got physically attacked as a journalist? No.

Yeah, you said something similar at the time, but you EQUIVOCATED, and effectively blamed the victim, just like you're doing here now. An independent journalists films ALL relevant events, and doesn't let anyone dictate what he or she may or may not film at a public event...

In any case though, that's largely a moot point, since the supposed concern about exposure was just a red herring - being that tons of other people were filming everything. The mob got mad at him because he asked some questions that offended them. That's what happened.

The “mob” of three people know who he is based on how he spews a false narrative online. If he went there to really see what was happening without a narrative people might have reacted differently. He should be allowed to film. But his actions have a consequence.
