No, it’s not. It’s just people making things up.

Is it possible he sold everyone out? Yes. But it's just as possible they strong-armed him. His abandoning the movement didn't help him politically. It made him more vulnerable. Seems like a decision made under duress.

Threatened w/ a drummed up scandal, maybe? I think of how Al Franken was treated when accused of being grabby w/ women, & how Biden has been treated w/ a long list of the same claims AND & actual allegation of rape. Franken: disgraced & out of office & Biden’s their president.

I’m not defending Franken, Shaun! I’m pointing out the difference in how the party chose to treat two men accused of the exact same sh*t!

I know his first accuser. I’m a journalist/photographer covering motorcycle racing. She was “Miss Supercross” 20 years ago. She’s a conservative, but not a liar. But so what if they did drum up a scandal? What then? He’s not running again. He’s 78!

They’re the kind of fvckers that might think that if they could destroy Bernie’s reputation, they could also harm or destroy the leftist movement that grew out of his campaign, too. They think of us as a rabble that are hurting them -& they don’t blame themselves for anything.

But that's the thing, when you sign up for a revolution, you have to know you can be killed. I don't blaming him for not wanting to forcibly die at the age of 79, but why call it a "revolution" when you're not up to it?

I do blame him for that, honestly. Life is temporary. We all die. But dying *for* something great is the absolute best way to go, IMO. Nobody should *want* to die for a cause, but I think we should be *willing* to if necessary.

But, if there were threats, they likely weren't aimed directly at him. He knows he's old. I'm not saying there absolutely were any threats, but the obeisance he's showing to the party is out of character.
