Stop putting hopes on one figurehead in 2024. That won’t change much. Start organizing locally & stateside. Change literally is happening right now from the bottom up. Change will not come from the federal top first, not for what we want as anti-establishment progressives.

If you’re just waiting for change to come through the electorate you’re gonna be waiting a long time. Every single legislative & judicial act had people fighting for it on the ground first & that fight started with local communities. Waiting to make change every 4 yrs is not it.

I've lived in Seattle for 25 years and I'll tell you this: Anything Progressive that has happened and is happening here is because of the relentless, fearless leadership of one person - Kshama Sawant.

She was able to galvanize the people behind her which is something that should be replicated by many leaders. But they won’t seem to do it. We need 10000 more of her. And I think we have em. We just gotta stick to our guns.

problem is the people aren't demanding 15/hour min wage, they are demanding the absolution of the nuclear family, reparations, and the abolishing of the police. I was there for the 15 in Sea-Tac (before Seattle technically) but not close to on board with the extreme new demands
