Elijah McClain was killed for being Black & austistic. He begged for his life. If you don’t think that’s worth knocking some statues or affecting your social life, & want to believe it’s “anarchy,” know that blaming nonviolent protestors for a failed system makes you a tool of it

So how does knocking down statues prevent more people getting killed?

No one is saying it’s preventing people from getting killed. My point is naysayers focus on that as if that’s the point it isn’t. Like the other commentator said it’s about education & exposing.

Exposing what? Even the name America comes from a slave owner Amerigo Vespucci. What difference does that make now?

If you don’t think truth is important idk what to tell you. It’s morally the right thing to do. Education isn’t real if you’re being told a crooked narrative. It matters bc the foundation of society defines how strongly it will stand.

You are moving the goalpost we discussed toppling statues not the importance of truth.

I’m not. You’re focusing on the tip of the iceberg and not everything underneath. That’s moving goal posts. It’s all connected.
