Leftists is this your King? The “Brooklyn left” did so much damage to Bernie’s movement & campaign by being little cheerleaders & never discussing actual constructive criticism. Trump & Biden are effectively the same except Biden is more likely to get us involved in war quickly.https://twitter.com/_michaelbrooks/status/1264321574821298178 …

How would you have handled it differently, and how do you imagine your different approach would have changed the outcome vis a vis the Bernie campaign?

Further the idea that this was going to be easy was constantly pushed by the likes of Sedar & Brooks. “Oh we’re gonna have no convention bc it’s going to be a landslide win!” Their hatred against ppl like Gabbard, Yang divided the left instead of unifying.

Or the hatred of Tulsi & Yang people for the Bernie camp divided the left. The forces that blacked out Bernie were the same forces that blacked out Tulsi & Yang. It’s the 1% & their corporate propagandists that are the culprits. People who blame Bernie seem to lose sight of this.

As a Berner who was often trying to keep peace, the hatred came more as a result of the dismissive attacks on them. Sure there were/are bad apples. Why are you now saying that this means we’re blaming Bernie? To a degree he is at fault for hiring the likes of Weaver & Rocha...

I agree, actually. Maybe because we never got to have our primary, a lot of this was not an issue for us in our state, so for us, the vitriol from the left (& I’m possibly more left than a lot of you), feels out of sync with our experiences here.

From the POV of someone who has worked as a community organizer, we were building something good here, but we were being fractured by the constant gaslighting, the fauxgressive candidates, & the apparent obliviousness to it of the campaign leadership.

That definitely happened here too more so from within the campaign. But every state was different. We just have to be careful with who we let in as far a organizing goes. It must be grassroots.
