Hindutva is not representative of Hinduism. It is a specific Hindu nationalist ideology in India that is strongly anti-Muslim. I am a Hindu, and I am concerned that Tulsi’s non-Hindu American supporters seem completely uninformed on this topic.

What specifically is anti-muslim about the religion itself? I'm asking seriously. If you truly believe it to be bad then you need to be giving examples / giving receipts. I don't much about the religion, but being Hindu is moot. I know more about Christianity than most Christians

“Hindutva” is not a religion it is a political ideology, please google it. “Hinduism” is a religion

Gabbard is vegan and, as a Hindu, follows Gaudiya Vaishnavism. She describes herself as a karma yogi. She values the Bhagavad Gita as a spiritual guide. I have not seen any correlation to the type of ideology you are stating. Like I said, present the evidence, don't just say it

I‘m not claiming Tulsi believes hindutva ideology, but she has a political alliance with them. This article is decent, but I don’t like sharing sources bc I find that no one source is unbiased on this topic. But a lot of points presented here are accuratehttps://theintercept.com/2019/01/05/tulsi-gabbard-2020-hindu-nationalist-modi/ …

1/This story has been spoken about numerous times and has been debunked. The article added that it was going purely off Hindu sounding names. I asked what about Tulsis policies. She's the first Hindu in congress and gets support on that. If you can't point to actual policy issues

Then I don't see what the issue is. And if you can't find sources that aren't impartial, you may want to rethink the information you are using as a source. Ro Khana and Jimmy Dore as well as the Intercept have spoken about that article

If you can't find something rooted in fact or you can't show evidence for, and all articles are biased and opinion pieces, why would you believe it? Wouldn't it make more sense that the only Hindu in that position would get a large variety of Hindu support?

I don’t like to share articles with people who have no context in which to interpret them. Idk you but I‘d guess you’ve never lived in India and don’t know any Hindu nationalists. I have and I do. So I understand the history and share acquaintances w tulsi. I like her but ...

She does not tell the truth about modi’s actions when asked. It upsets Muslims, as it should. It’s a weakness for her.

That article has been shares an seenu kee countless times. Intercepts on Lee Fang calls out Mehndi Hassan’s bias.

I know the reporting on this issue has been bad; I already said that. But Tulsi’s connection w Modi is not in passing. She gifted him her personal Gita, it’s an intentionally intimate gesture. I would not be suspicious of her if she told the truth about gujarat, Kashmir etc.
