So you would want your private insurances that make you go into debt out the ass over a plan where it's free at the point of service....
You misunderstood me. Sanders has Medicare for all with private option only for supplemental coverage but it’s there. My whole point was to say you can have Medicare for all but every country that has universal healthcare has a private option small/large depending on their plan.

Right, and that's an apt description of Sanders' plan. Tulsi's plan however does not have any duplicative coverage ban; thus, the role for private insurance is not in any way limited by the role of the public sector, agreed? Also, we agree there is no opt-out of Sanders' plan?

What is important to me is that I haven't misunderstood
@SenSanders plan. I was pretty sure I had that correct. -
Yep. Just remember: Sanders is proposing *everyone* rich/poor/union/whatever, having FREE healthcare. No co-pays, deductibles, or premiums; maximum of $200 per YEAR out of pocket cost sharing if you can afford it (lol). And completely decoupling employment from healthcare.

I would agree that elective surgery shouldn't be covered. Only that which has a medical or prevention purpose. Vanity be damned. lol
