You can’t opt out though. So it’s still Medicare for all. Everyone is covered. She simply allows for people to pay double. I don’t agree w it but that’s the fact.

Can you send me a link to the countries that have universal coverage but no private Option? I’ll wait.

In fairness, that provision has to be read in the context if the duplicative coverage ban. So just FWIW, on the whole, private insurance is banned for primary care under M4A.

But that doesn’t mean it won’t exist for supplemental or union/labor until they decide what’s up. He added that last part for a reason.

Well for supplemental yes, but not for unions. Private insurance is still abolished. His provision allows for them to receive compensation in the form of wages given M4A is likely cheaper than insurance premiums.

Precisely. So under Sanders' plan (not Jayapal's), there's a 4 year transition period. Year 1: 55 yrs+ on M4A. Year 2: 45+ on M4A. Year 3: 35+ on M4A. Year 4: 0+ on M4A; private insurance is 100% abolished. Under Jayapal, this is condensed to just 2 years!

Which is why I WISH we had Jayapal’s.
