Tulsi advocates for a "private option". So Medicare for All, with the option to have better private insurance should you choose it. It should not impact M4A's coverage or prices.

So explain to me, how M4A laid out in the legislation, including the provisions for supplimental insurance, isn't M4A? It allows for a private option. As does the other developed nation's versions of M4A.

If Tulsi is looking to develop her own specific plan that is more in line with other similar plans, but still covers everyone and prohibits profits off of sick people, then how is that not M4A?

Actually no-this is Canada. They also have private options. All these countries that have universal healthcare allow for the existence of a private option. When they didn’t raise their hands they lied (bad question tho) bc every single plan includes a private option.pic.twitter.com/qwQ8Pu8Rc9
