Every. MAJOR. Country. On. Earth. Has. #M4A
Every. Other. Country. On. Earth. That has #MedicareForAll ALSO has a role for private insurance-small as it may be.
Ideally I don’t want ANY. But that’s where we’re at.
If you can prove me wrong do it. I welcome the dialogue.

This DOES NOT MEAN that private insurance is going to exist as it has. It will basically be defunct from power under Bernie’s plan but it will exist for supplemental care. To say it won’t is disingenuous. Go to Australia, Canada, UK, it exists. But most people dont use it.

While Bernie’s plan is ambitious, it relies on state power rather than national fed power via Medicaid. Jayapals focuses on Medicare expansion. Two of the small differences. Bottom line. We can argue all day the specifics. But as long as EVERYONE IS COVERED, we’ll have done well.

This also means that we need to address issues others bring about relying 100% on what’s given by
#m4all. We’re going to have to look deeply & plans will shift & change. But the thing to ALWAYS look at is the MONEY. If you don’t take the money, I trust you’ll take care of us.2 réponses 1 Retweet 32 j'aimeAfficher cette discussion -
So if that’s the case there are only two people that have 1. Co-sponsored healthcare for all bills. 2. Not taken Insurance or BIG Pharma money. 3. Flat out said they support Medicare for all. Those two are Bernie & Tulsi. Elizabeth Warren has talked about access & taken $$$

While Bernie does not like private insurance (though it’s there) and his plan is set different from Jayapal’s it’s great. Tulsi has admitted to the role of private insurance but supports medicare for all though specifics are needed. Support whoever you desire. I got mine.

But lying & saying invalid things based on youtubers who’ve been salivating every time they get to smear Tulsi since day 1, isn’t a valid argument. I’m more concerned w domestic issues so I’m Bernie. I think he needs help on foreign policy. I think Tulsi is great on that but...

needs help on domestic policy. It’s important. Neither are free of criticisms. But some of us on both ends must stop the sycophancy & have nuanced conversations. Things are up in the air. We need specifics. Stop tearing down allies. Your enemy is common. It’s the establishment.

Wasting time when the entire establishment is clearly backing Warren is detrimental to our cause. We need a united front. Tulsi gets ppl Bernie doesn’t & he gets a movement. Whoever your candidate is Yang, or Williamson, I may not agree w them. Doesn’t mean they can’t be allies.
