Just wanna clarify: Bernie supporters r okay w/ Bernie offering a watered down easily corruptible version of Jayapal’s M4All bill But if Tulsi offers the same plan as Jayapal but makes sure that Unions/employees can negotiate better plans than M4All offers, she’s fraud? Lol

Unions shouldn’t have to negotiate for healthcare, that’s the issue here. It hurts their bargaining power and can be used as a tool against unions. M4A has to ban duplicative care or it simply won’t work as effectively. She’s bought into right wing framing instead of fighting it

No. Unions should not have to negotiate for basic coverage. They should absolutely be able negotiate for coverage that goes above and beyond that normal. It is inherently authoritarian to suggest otherwise.

I mean yes and no the whole pt of unions is to be able to negotiate benefits. But it those benefits are provided then they can focus on something else. I don’t agree here with unions/anyone being able to have better insurance than most others. Unless they want to pay for extra.

I can’t stop them from trying but it doesn’t mean ALL Americans shouldn’t already have that coverage.
