Anyone criticizing Tulsi for this is a goddamn hypocrite. This is okay. We have to work with leaders to achieve peace, even those we don’t like or agree with politically. https://twitter.com/RoKhanna/status/650354588764106754 …

Tulsi hasn’t said anything to indicate she does not like or does not agree with PM Modi. Quite the opposite. That is what is problematic.

She absolutely has. I interviewed her & she’s met with Modi’s opposition. She hasn’t met with Modi yet this time & simply issued a statement. I wouldn’t have bc ppl are too reactionary. But also I want all non Indians with faux outrage on Kashmir to explain how they’re experts.

I saw, thank you for asking her. I found her response extremely weak. It’s dangerous to allow ourselves to fall into India vs Pakistan or Hindu vs Muslim narrative, to bow out because of nuance & complexity. There is a legal & human rights framework that modi has overstepped.

She’s not a journalist. Her job is to be diplomatic. While I agree she could be less soft, we can’t deny millions support him and if she attacks it derails any kind of compromise. She does this w everyone. Again met with his opponents. I wouldn’t have advised her to post a pic...

but she is pointing out the hypocrisy she sees in regards to her. She not even Indian. If she wasn’t Hindi this wouldn’t be an issue but it’s been manipulated by the left as a go to attack. I bet 1 million bucks most pundits criticizing her for a mere mention know 0 on the issue.
