Controversial as it may be, there is not 1 thing that #TulsiGabbard said on the Dave Rubin interview that I disagreed with. Identity politics IS poison to true progressives. Abortion should not routinely extend into the 3rd trimester except for extreme circumstances. Being real.

My take was that she agreed that Identity politics is a huge issue bc it PREVENTS us getting 2 the most critical issues, like war. THAT's why it IS so spectacularly dangerous. It's the 1st hill we have 2 take, so 2 speak. Identity politics keeps us divided so we can't fight back.

As far as abortion goes, I'd rather see money go into better sex ed in public schools, free birth control and sterilization for those who want it. Abortion should always be a last resort. Something like 27% of pregnancies in New York end in abortion. That's way too much IMO.

That was my understanding as well that she agreed weaponization of ID politics was an issue but not the number one issue as Rubin tried to frame it. Some are trying to make it seem she agreed with him 100% on that. I didn't see that.

Identity politics is both the rock in the road that divides people into groups, and it is also the smokescreen used to blur issues into being about your "team" colors and not about the 99%. We can't tackle the other issues till we clear the air of Id Pol first...very problematic

I also agree 100% with her abortion take. The slippery slope is valid, but the same argument is used to prevent sensible gun control. Sensible is always looked at as a slippery slope by the opposition.

Importantly. She also said that the government should not curb the rights of individuals who wish to have an abortion.

I agree with her on abortion 100%

I agree with her 100%. Was relieved she came out with this. Sorry, pro-choice extremists, but there is no such thing as third trimester abortion. Even the supreme court has agreed on this in their roe v wade ruling.

She said clearly up to the woman not the government.

If women have affordable and available clinics, then no woman would get a 3rd trimester abortion. None. The real question that Tulsi knows if u improve ppls lives, and access then those debates dissipate.
