BREAKING assembly delegates who wish to remain anonymous for now have confirmed they were threatened w/ losing their jobs if they didn’t vote for Rusty Hicks, the big oil establishment candidate, who just “won” Chair of the Democratic Party. This is a developing story.
Thats 2017 and we lost them in 2019. Also “Berniecrats” is a loose term. Since I was involved in covering this I witnessed how many slates and ppl labeled as such were not at all. Which is what makes it difficult.

Which is why we 1) must research and interview candidates 2) VOTE. I switched my registration from D to Indy in July 2016. Switched back to D to vote in the ADEM elections in 2017 & 2018 and then back to Indy after each ADEM election.

Berniecrats are Dems who support Bernie. Berners are Indys who support Bernie. Only Dems can be delegates. Slates often had crossover with labor. Simple research revealed who were Bernie supporters and who were not. Liberals co-opted the term Progressive so we must be diligent.

Yeah they are which is why I’m saying we have to be careful. It’s no longer safe to just assume someone is Bernie bc they claim to be. The word progressive has been co-opted I agree. I’m not saying we aren’t making strides but that we need to be vigilant & not assume we won.
