i know not liking something doesnt make u interesting and that lots of genre films/books are better than non-genre/literary stuff but really these super hero movies need to be called out for what they are: a symptom of the infantalising nature of consumer capitalism

Its more the lack of real growth and consequence that gets me

Infinity War. It has a clear protagonist (Thanos) and the plot is a brutally straight line. Endgame had some satisfying climaxes but time travel led to a lot of niggling fridge logic. IW character moments worked better and had room to breathe more.

Endgame. The protagonists actually have some arcs that are properly developed. In IW, the only person with any growth is Thanos.

Infinity War, IMO. Endgame had one true goal - to resolve the story of the original Avengers in an emotionally-satisfying way. And it totally botched that. Infinity War didn't have such high ambitions, and therefore it was able to achieve them more easily. Less frustrating.

Infinity war is much better than endgame. Many choose endgame over infinity war because of the fan service but they deny the fact that endgame drags for an hour and is mostly a tribute to the last 10 years instead of being its own film. Infinity war is the much better film.
