I’ve been seeing tweets like this for the past week and y’all really don’t give a fuck about the elderly or the disabled. Plot twist: we’re going to get old and most likely develop some sort of physical disability one day. Do better.pic.twitter.com/9nZ0aZX0Zj

...if you don’t see the worth and humanity in the elderly you are truly missing out. Also this argument that only old people die from the corona virus makes you sound like a dick. Just please shut the fuck up.

similarly people writing it off as “why are you worrying so much, as long as you have health insurance you’ll be fine” UH EXCUSE ME, I DONT HAVE. You wanna march down to the county office and figure out why i’ve been in paperwork limbo for 5 months trying to get health care!?

Absolutely - I can’t even take off too many sick days for fear of losing my job and losing my health insurance.

I'm afraid of getting it not because I'd get sick, but because I don't want to give it to my parents.

Exactly. Or pass on to anyone who is in the most vulnerable category, no matte how old they are.

On top of the disgusting disregard for the elderly, the infirm and people with immunodeficiencies, these people should realize there's infected patients in their 30s currently in ICU in Italy. It's a low percentage, but still: this affects everyone

Thank you for this, Rebecca. The dismissal and mocking of old people makes me so angry. And exactly: That's gonna be you one day, dude.

The whole point is its a roll of the dice. The more people catch it, the more it mutates. That's why it needs to be nipped in the bud. Because version 2.0 might be so much stronger that the fatality rate will rise and the age bracket it affects will be much lower.

Just like the Great Influenza. Spring: Wow, that sucked. Fall: The world is ending. Winter: Again? Shit.
