I agree that I think people get hung up on aesthetics too much, too often. But at some point don’t we have to recognize these are visual mediums? If you argue that the text is more important, then why bother with visual at all? Why not just write books?

I’m not trying to say “ignore this thing because it doesn’t conform to your aesthetic preference”. I attempted to watch adeventure Time, Stephen universe, r&m etc, but the visuals weren’t just unappealing to me. They were distracting.

Yes that's very nice and eloquent of you but it's pretty obvious to anyone with some common sense and a working pair of eyeballs that this art style (in all its incarnations) is just a cost cutting measure. It's worn out it's charm and people are tired of it.
