That's definitely one I rewatch when I need something to pump me up for something (granted I have over two free hours to do said pumping). Though another one is The Big Short, mainly because it takes multiple viewings in order to "get" everything it says...

Which first lesson is: start editing the movie in the storyboard phase.

Now, interested in your opinion of this. Much of the film was framed to keep faces in the middle of the frame so you can cut fast without the eye jumping all over the screen looking for characters. Sounds really clever on paper but is it a compromise?

Do you mean a compromise in terms of composition? If so, i don’t think of it as a compromise but rather a “design” decision. It can’t be a compromise if it’s a deliberate decision all the way.

I could watch that, Scott pilgrim vs the world and the 1986 animated transformers movie forever.

It's also probably one of the best examples of "show, don't tell" I've ever seen.
