Team Alison - And it IS good, and I'll even go so far as to say it has nothing to do with length in and of itself, but the fact the show has no idea how to pare down repetitive dramatic action and evolve a story, just tease and gradually let it reveal itself.

There's an entire subplot of the episode that's basically pointless?

it's the best episode of the season so far, imo! It's also got 20 minutes that do absolutely nothing.

no todd smart! It can be both great and utterly laborious. I literally went to town on this in upcoming recap. And not to spoil for those who haven't seen, but the incredible episode AFTER is a testament to everything the show can do right by comparison.
