1. Uncle Ben literally does not exist in this MCU and that mantra has never once been expressed. 2. Why in god's name would them paralyzing him change his mind? It doesn't add up to anything coherent. It just happens. We can't project something that's agains the grain of both.

1.-He does exist and Peter says this is his M.O on the talk he had with Stark before going to Germany in Civil War. 2.-It wasn't so much as being paralyzed as much as the fact he had to face off his friends. That's why he let's them in the Compound again, he's made up his mind.

1. They literally have an interview where Watts says they didn't figure it out and he is not brought up explicitly at all. Just that "bad things happen." 2. Again, there is no dramatized "why" - it just happens.
