See I dont know of I've ever experienced this distinction the way others describe it (I happen to be autistic, but I don't know of that has anything to do with it). Fiction has always just been real enough for me to care that deeply about it regardless of real world context.

I care about Tony Stark and his pain. He doesn't know or care that Avengers 4 comes out in a few years, so his grief is real to me, no matter the information of Marvel's production slate rattling in the back of my mind.
