Dear @nytimes For the last time there is no such thing as "The Friend Zone." You are putting someone in "The Girlfriend Zone," which is the most limiting, possessive, ugly, and juvenile thing you can do to another person, one that inherently denies the stunning gift of friendship

Fuck outta here with this. If i have to read this article one more time im going to lose my goddam fucking mind. Its simple: yes, attraction exists. The problem is idiots who always put that BEFORE friendship. And men suck at it cause theyre assholes.

Seriously, again? The question is still the obvious one: "why doesn't the girl I like want to fuck me?" and let me examine all the ways my inability to get over that simple fixation and be cool ruins all gender dynamics.

that study is "men can't seem to get over X, guess they can't be friends!" instead of "hey men, get over your basic bullshit."

Other than the clickbait title, I don't get that impression. To me, the thesis is "men and women often have vastly different perceptions of their opposite sex friendships". If it's expressing any opinion at all, it's that people ought to examine their friendships more closely.
