Dear @nytimes For the last time there is no such thing as "The Friend Zone." You are putting someone in "The Girlfriend Zone," which is the most limiting, possessive, ugly, and juvenile thing you can do to another person, one that inherently denies the stunning gift of friendship

I can't believe it's 2018 and people are major news institutions are still slinging that shit. It's basic absurdity.

Men believe women are property. They invest into the property and believe that there must therefore come a return (sex) on their investment (spending time with women where they don’t assault them for sex). When the property (woman) doesn’t comply, then the equation is “faulty.”

You realize this is a block-worthy thing you are saying, correct? And the fact you wield and think you are subjected to it essentially makes you a bad person? Because reeeeeeally think about what you're doing to another human being.

You are taking them, and all the wonderful other things they can be in your life, and saying "you only exist for X purpose to me," and heck, that can only be one person in your life. It is simply not seeing the value of friendship with others. And it's gross & immature.
