In that entire sweeping era of 2000's found footage, I think there are two projects that actually nailed the cinematic language by actually treating it as the reality of "people being filmed." The Office UK. And Chronicle. Maybe another?

Not sure I understand the sigh. There is a difference between found footage that is set up as something previously lost and usually not meant to be seen in the first place and a mockumentary that everyone involved is aware of and always had a target "audience."

Sometimes they can be both, like Blair Witch, but not always. Chronicle is found, Office is not. They refer to the documentary airing within the show several times.
