In that entire sweeping era of 2000's found footage, I think there are two projects that actually nailed the cinematic language by actually treating it as the reality of "people being filmed." The Office UK. And Chronicle. Maybe another?

I think it's confusing to call The Office found footage, it's a mockumentary. Found footage implies discovery, it implies the product you're seeing is raw. The Offices - both UK and US, adherence to the form notwithstanding - are properly finished TV documentaries.
