It's a great article that points out the thing that everyone misses about Ex Machina which causes them to unfairly categorize it as "racist" or "sexist" when that couldn't be further from the truth. One of my favorites of yours, right after the Under the Skin one.

HUMANS and Westworld tackled it better, IMNSHO. Both work harder to show both perspectives, and both also show that they're breaking, not-following, the programming. Ava could still be, given that she doesn't...do anything to help anyone else. Robot or human.
