This film wrecked me, I had read the novel which is equally about depression. But the film destroyed me. Its beautiful but incredibly heartbreaking. I can't believe it got made but I'm so glad it did.

It would have been better if he used the book as source material instead of Solaris and Roadside Picnic

Pretty much everything interesting or worthwhile about the movie isn't in the source material.

Aha so this is going to be today's version of that thing that I didn't know I needed, excellent. It's been a week since I saw it and it's yet to get too far from my thoughts. Looking forward to this read tonight.
