This guy thinks I"m close-minded because I think guns are more dangerous than paper weights. Already blocked. https://twitter.com/BeingLiteronic/status/966479371459551232 …

For the record, I try not to engage in this stuff as much as possible. I'm just not suffering fools on gun control anymore. I. Am. Not. It's over. It's done. No more debate. Gun control is going to happen. We are going to join civilized society. Get in line.

Gun Control. No one will tell me what this means. More comprehensive background checks are obviously needed but HIPPA laws make things muddy when weeding out the crazies. The next shooter has his gun, how do we stop HIM?

Not with more guns. We've already proven this doesn't work. They're too quick. This isn't the wild west. And seriously no one will tell you what gun control means? Look at the laws of every single other civilized country in the world

Look at australia. It means making many kinds of guns illlegal. It means making them extremely difficult to get for ANYONE. It means buy-backs. It means cutting circulation. It means doing whatever we can to stop this madness.

Gun control definitely works, as seen in the banning of automatic weapons but we're not Australia, a country with the population of LA. Our politics are wildly different. What worked (politically) in Australia doesn't mean it'll work here.

It's a scratch the surface talking point that doesn't hold up to scrutiny. It's frustrating because I keeping people say 'i like the 2nd amendment but.." Airports. Stadiums. Congress. All public events are protected by armed security but not schools. Why?

Gun control means making it harder for people to get guns. Pretty simple. I just don't agree with the comparison to Australia because it's two completely different country's, populations and political sentiments. Better to acknowledge we likely will have to compromise.

You're going to have to grandfather in every weapon in civilian hands and then just tax the crap out of new guns and require some sort of insurance on them making and a national registry

More than that. I don't like the idea that people own guns. Plain and simple. I dont like the 2nd amendment. I don't like the idea that we justify it with "well-regulated militia" speak. We need to join the rest of the world. Yes, we have to undo a giant knot of how we got here.

I don't like these things because they're unlike every other civilized country in the world. I want us to undo our ways. And we'll lead with the law first.
