Yeah reading that piece was downright... bizarre? Like, I've never seen such nuanced thoughts be so confused by the most basic moviegoing idea of sympathizing with a villain.

A villain who clearly creates change in the main character. But this is all part and parcel of how viewers seem to be having a tougher time with characters who are "good" doing "bad."
