RYAN COOGLER JUST MADE DO THE RIGHT THING AS AN ACCESIBLE STUDIO SUPERHERO MOVIE... I can think of no higher compliment.

But they still started with the formula. A mirror image of the hero. I doubt they learned anything.

Just got out of my second viewing. Even when it’s hitting the standard Marvel beats it’s just so fucking sincere underneath it all, I loved it.

Really good way of putting it.

Seeing that, alongside Zemo and Vulture make it out of their villain roles alive is a good sign. Though you’d think Loki would’ve taught them that lesson. But, hey, 6-7 on still ain’t too bad in Hollywood tentpole time, I guess.

Also James Spader was entertaining as Hell in the role, and coming back from being deleted is kinda Ultron’s thing, so more traces of hope there.

Jordan's Killmonger is fantastically nuanced and made me ask myself mid-film: "wait? I'm supposed to DISLIKE this guy?" I mean, his grievances are 100% valid, even if his methods are objectionable.

The problem with that is they make Radio Raheem the villain when he clearly should have been the hero

We are like one solid gangster picture away from Jordan being Coogler’s De Niro or DiCaprio.

He was complex too. Likeable but misguided. Just bad enough to be the villain but enough heart to pay off well. They played it just right.
