Because the net result is you just go around correcting people all the time, worse, about things that don't actually need to be corrected.

If that was the only result, then you're right. But that wasn't the point. Not sure what other threads you have in mind (would happily talk more about that over DM if you're of a mood), but when I say you're not helping, my point is that tweets like these miss the bigger picture.

I jump in pedantically largely to present a harmless reflection of what I think the true (unintended I'm sure, as I do not doubt the purity of your heart) consequences of tweets like yours that began this. That is to say - they're insignificant and mostly just self-bolstering.

I'm happy to admit that that's not the most cordial or constructive use of my time or energy (the medium we're on deserves some blame for that too). If we're to truly rebuild what we've broken & lost, we need to cut back on our reality-show social media antics.

And I'm not letting the tiny-palmed blubber blabberer in the White House off the hook either. The most important part of "resisting" him is resisting our own urges to act exactly like him. We may not have voted for him, but he reflects us at our worst. We need to change that.

Dude. 1. No I don't want to DM with you. The assumption that I would or that would be worthwhile is part of your pedantic need to do what you're doing. 2. Don't think of it as being harmless, just realize your M.O. what it's really about and what's going on with you.

3. I am telling you that you have made a lot of comments. You feel the need to all the time because they reflect your version of objective truth. But I think your version of and ability to see what "the consequences are" is deeply flawed. Truly.

4. What I want you to do, and to at least just sit back and think on for awhile, without responding is simply you and your M.O. Relax. Breathe. Look at yourself the way you do everything else. And I don't want to argue about this more. I'm gonna go deal with my work.

5. I mean no ill will, friend. Just please listen. And observe. And that's all you got to do. Have a good night.

You as well. I mean no ill will either, and I appreciate that you trust that. That's the real reason I keep the offer open. But my next response to you was that I'm also retiring tonight. ...and because tomorrow I'll likely wake up to a flurry of tweets from interlopers in this.

And with that, a list bit of reflection... with your interactions and the manner with which you conduct them, you are mostly the interloper. That's my whole point.

I got it. And mine was that my interloping is the least of our problems. If we end the evening on that understanding, I'll consider this thread to have been worth the effort.
