Caveat #2: I absolutely think you can have 5/5 masterpieces with moments that are wonky. We're too hung up on defining masterpieces as "flawless." I know plenty of relatively boring flawless movies that fail to inspire. Instead, give me a bevy of highs any day of the week.

I go back and forth on Temple. Even if you take out the regressive bullshit, some stuff (like the central romance) just doesn’t quite work.

Capshaw gets a lot of (somewhat underserved) flack, but she doesn’t really get a handle on the character and she and Ford have basically zero chemistry. That said, Short Round (and his relationship with Indy) fucking rules.
